TODAY, 3rd
SUNDAY OF LENT: God gave his Law to Moses. The commandments, which Moses announced to
the people at the foot of Mount Sinai, were not important because they arranged
a relationship of the people toward God, but are important because God gave
them to His people. These are God’s
commandments: the expression of God’s will which the people have to perform if
they want to live a life worthy of men.
The very commandments are retold in the natural law. They are important because their performance
(observation) is readiness to God’s will in everything. Therefore, God shows how His people are to
live in faithfulness to Him and in love toward his neighbor. The New Testament Law emphasizes an encounter
of man with his God through the great commandment of love. Jesus did not abolish the Sinai Law, He
fulfilled it. The first three
commandments of the Decalog speak about our relationship toward God. The other seven commandments speak about the
love toward our neighbor. The Old
Testament Law shows God as a law giver who instills fear into our hearts. It is
revealed by lightening and thunder. The
New Testament Law is more an expression of love by which God loves us and
equally expects the same from every creature.

DANAS:
3. NEDJELJA U
KORIZMI: Bog daje svoj Zakon Mojsiju.
Same su zapovijedi najvećim dijelom
prerečeni prirodni zakon. No važne
vrši i poštuje Božja volja. Bog dakle
pokazuje svom narodu kako treba živjeti u vjernosti prema njemu i u ljubavi
prema bližnjemu. Starozavjetni Zakon
munja.
uzvrat ljubavi svakog svog stvorenja.
